Meow is the second fragrance from worldwide superstar and pop sensation Katy Perry launched in 2011, and acts as a companion piece to the Singer’s first fragrance Purr. As the sister to her debut perfume, Meow! can be seen as a sweeter version to Purr. Meow was created while Katy was on her California Dreams world tour and still embodies her fun, playful personality. She described Meow as a wearable interpretation of the fun, sensual spirit of the tour which commands a soft sexuality appropriate for use during any time of the day. The undeniably seductive, floral scent opens with top notes by pairing honeysuckle and pear with orange blossoms and Jasmine which are the initial lighter smells of the fragrance which only last for a short period of time and then settle down onto a base of creamy vanilla, musk and amber which are the last to develop and help fix the fragrance to the skin capturing Katy’s carefree, fun energy. The bottle design follows its feline – like predecessor. Katy, inspired by vintage milk vials, wanted the bottle to be opaque and pale pink.
