During games and tournaments compacted mud on the bottom of their boots was affecting their acceleration, running speed and grip - simple physics. Sometimes they would be carrying around two to three times the weight of their (expensive ultra-lightweight) boots in mud - and not just around the pitch but back into our house as well! So rather than continue using a stick, my car keys or my nails to dig out the mud, I designed the Bootclaw. Now the Bootclaw is used by not only football and rugby players all over the world, but runners, hikers, golfers and gardeners too. What makes your product special?The Bootclaw is unique - there is no other product on the market which is designed specifically to tackle the problem of mud impacting sporting performance. During our research we found plenty of brushes and washers for cleaning your boots after the game, or at home, but nothing to tackle mud like the Bootclaw. We’ve made it simple and convenient too, so it’s a great tool for many more people.What has been the best part of your startup experience?Receiving such overwhelming positive reactions wherever we go to promote the product.
